Impetus to Impact (I2I)

Our Mission:

Impetus to Impact exists to transform student curiosity into actionable pathways within STEAM by combining hands-on learning, structured mentorship, and personal development. We design and deliver adaptable outreach experiences that not only introduce students to scientific and technical concepts, but also help them build confidence, define goals, and see themselves as active participants in STEAM fields. Our approach emphasizes long-term impact over one-time exposure by creating repeatable, scalable frameworks that can be tailored to diverse student communities while maintaining a consistent standard of quality and measurable outcomes.

Why we’re different than other programs

I2I is designed around transformation, not just engagement. While many organizations focus on hosting events or increasing participation, our mission is centered on longitudinal mentorship, measurable personal and academic growth, and the integration of technical and personal development. Our model combines STEAM education, goal-setting and reflection, professional skill development, and mentorship continuity- creating a more holistic experience where students not only learn concepts, but also develop direction, confidence, and actionable next steps.

Past events

2026 was the debut of our organization. As such, we focused on establishing connections with local Atlanta Public schools, growing our membership, and starting a longitudinal workshop series. To date, we’ve hosted 5 workshops at 3 different Atlanta public schools: Benjamin E. Mays High School, Booker T. Washington High School, and King Elementary.

PGSF Alumni Coordinator

I served as the Fellowship’s Alumni Coordinator for two years. During this time, I organized the fellowship’s inaugural Alumni reunion as well as a series of regional meet-ups to connect the global network of PGSF alumni.

Peer Mentor

I have served as a “peer mentor” each year following my own fellowship year, mentoring three incredibly bright PGSF fellows during their fellowship years!
